Vienna University Hospital

The Vienna University Hospital is divided into 26 university departments and serves more than 30 clinics. The hospital is committed to delivering the highest standards and is equipped with only the most state-of-the-art technologies across each medical discipline. Over the years, the hospital has hosted a number of influential clinical trials, including the LTx trial on early use of ECP as a prophylactic therapy.

 

Every year, the Vienna University Hospital carries out approximately 2000 ECP procedures in the treatment of GvHD, CTCL and heart rejection along with other diseases.

Prof Robert Knobler

Prof Robert Knobler

Having graduated from the Medical University of Vienna, and during his training in the fields of Dermatology and Venereology at the University of Vienna General Hospital, Prof. Knobler began his career as a Visiting Scientist at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University in New York, where he remained for a number of years.
